NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety

The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety (QCF) is for anyone that works in the Spectator Safety environment.

There are no formal entry requirements but candidates must be working in the appropriate job role.

Please note that this Spectator Safety qualification can be offered fully funded via the Skills Funding Agency.

Mandatory Units

• Help to manage conflict (4 credits)
• Support the work of the team and organisation (2 credits)
• Prepare for spectator events (5 credits)
• Deal with accidents and emergencies (2 Credits)
• Control the entry, exit and movement of people at spectator events (8 credits)
• Monitor spectators and deal with crowd problems (8 credits)

How is the qualification achieved?

Candidates must achieve all 20 credits from the 6 mandatory units. This is done by building a portfolio of evidence. The evidence can comprise of emails, delivery paperwork, photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, guided discussions, statements from line managers and direct observations by the Assessor.

How long will it take to achieve the qualification?

On average it takes approximately 5 months to complete a Level 2 NVQ. However, this time can be less or more, depending on the individual.

Where will the qualification be delivered?

The qualification would be carried out in the workplace and fits in with everyday work demands and responsibilities.

Who will deliver the qualification?

Repton Training Limited has a team of fully qualified assessors throughout England that are accredited to deliver the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety and all candidates will be allocated one assessor.

The assessor will assess candidates throughout their qualification and will give advice and guidance every step of the way.

Repton Training Limited only employs teaching staff that are fully qualified with direct sector competence in the qualification they are delivering.

What are the benefits of completing this qualification?

This qualification satisfies the qualification requirements for people working in licensed venues as set out in the Football Licensing Authority’s Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds ('the green guide').
