Roderick Repton set up Repton Training & Security in 1999, having retired from the police service after serving 33 years.
During his period of service Rod specialised in Criminal Investigation in C.I.D, Drugs Squad and the Special Branch. He progressed through the ranks to become a Detective Chief Inspector, demonstrating his sound managerial skills and professionalism.
In 2004 Rod expanded his company to become The Repton Group trading as Repton Investigations and Repton Training Limited and is the Managing Director of both companies.
Roderick Repton has recently been appointed the role of Secretary for the organisation EPIC.
EPIC is a substantial and highly reputable professional association for ex-police officers working in industry and commerce - with a current membership in excess of 200.
Samantha Repton is a Director of Repton Training Limited and oversees all decisions.
Prior to her directorship Sam spent 8 years as cabin crew, with 5 years as a Senior Cabin Crew Manager; as a result Sam is extremely customer focused and believes in always putting the customer first.
Edward Repton has a vast knowledge of the Security sector and has worked within the industry for 10 years.
Edward is a former member of the British Army Intelligence Corps and holds the City & Guilds 7302 delivering adult learning and the 1884 certificate in conflict resolution awards.
He has professional experience of Terrorism awareness, Document Security, Counter Intelligence, Personnel Security & Vetting, Electronic Warfare, Tactical Questioning, and ISTAR.
Melanie Horak is the training manager for Repton Training Limited. Her responsibility is to maintain the day to day running of the company.
Melanie liaises daily with the trainers, awarding bodies, partner colleges and companies; she is also the main point of contact for all learners on the training programmes.
She has worked in the training sector for a number of years and is currently undertaking her A1 Assessors award.
Mathew Coleman is the Office Administrator for both Repton Investigations and Repton Training.
Mathew is currently undertaking a level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration under the apprenticeship scheme.
Whilst at college, he worked in the retail sector for 3 years and from this experience, has high quality customer service and understands that the needs of customers always come first.
Mathew is also an active volunteer for Cancer Research UK and is highly involved with their Relay for Life Derby annual event. He is currently on the committee for Relay for Life Derby 2010. He has volunteered at this event since its inauguration in 2006.
Trevor Coakley retired from the Police Service as a Detective Sergeant after thirty years service, the last twenty two he spent as an Operational Detective. During his service he was part of several major incidents including murders and terrorism, he was also a Regional Crime Squad Officer, a National Surveillance Instructor and a Police Federation Representative.
Trevor received five separate commendations from both the Chief Constable and Trial Judges.
Since then he has worked as a Fraud Investigator/Police Liaison Officer for a national Building Society and has just recently retired after 10 years part-time service as a support officer with the Derbyshire Police Drug Unit.
Trevor has also carried out surveillance and undercover work for the Repton Group at large events such as Royal Ascot, Wembley and The Emirates stadiums together with private and corporate investigations.
Alongside the above, Trevor was heavily involved with crowd control and spent a number of years working as the Deputy Safety Officer of Derby County Football Club.
Trevor Coakley is a fully qualified NVQ assessor and trainer. He holds his A1 Assessors Award and the Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
Trevor is currently involved in the assessment of Safety Stewards at Football Clubs and Security guards working in the East Midlands.
John Rutherford has worked in Crowd Safety and Event Management for over 20 years. He is currently the Stadium Operations Manager at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and has been in this role since 2007.
Prior to becoming the Stadium Operations Manager, John worked as the Deputy Safety Officer at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. In addition to this he has worked as a self-employed Safety Officer at Ascot Racecourse, Yorkshire County Cricket Clubs, Leeds Rugby League and Leeds Rugby Union.
John is also the Chairman of the prestigious Football Safety Officers Association and he uses his knowledge and experience to effectively run this association.
John has also achieved his NVQ Level 4 in Crowd Control, Certificate in Event and Matchday Safety and the NEBOSH general certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, as well as his Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Don retired from the British Police service on millennium night having completed 40 years of police service. During the four years prior to retirement he held the position of Deputy Chief Constable in the Derbyshire Constabulary, having been Assistant Chief Constable of crime and operations for seven years prior to that.
Don was present with the Queens Police medal in 1990, on the eve of his retirement he was honoured with the Order of the British Empire for services to policing.
He has lectured on crime scene management and DNA profiling on a World Wide stage.
Don introduced to the European Commission a policy for crime scene management which has been adopted by all police forces throughout Europe.
