
The Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events is designed individuals who are working, or seeking employment in the event stewarding or spectator safety industry.
There are no formal entry requirements and candidates do not need to be working in the job role, as this is classroom knowledge based qualification.
• How Stewards Prepare for Spectator Events (1 Credit)
• How Stewards Control the Entry, Exit and Movement of Spectators at Events (2 Credits)
• How Stewards Monitor Crowds and Respond to Potential Crowd Problems at Spectator Events (1 Credit)
• How to Respond to Injuries, Illnesses and Other Emergencies in Active Leisure and Learning (1 Credit)
Candidates must achieve 5 credits from all mandatory units and produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their work.
This qualification consists of 40 hours of guided learning which will be delivered over 3 days of classroom training with 1 day assessment. A private study workbook will also be distributed to the candidates.
The training would be delivered at our training centre in Derby city centre, however if a company has 6 + candidates for the training then Repton Training Limited can deliver the programme off-site.
Repton Training Limited has a team of fully qualified trainers throughout England that are accredited to deliver the Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events.
The trainer assigned will either be an internationally recognised Safety Officer or will have worked within a police or military background.
Repton Training Limited only employs teaching staff that are fully qualified with direct sector competence in the qualification they are delivering.
Candidates achieve a recognised qualification that provides them with an introduction to the skills, qualities and knowledge required for employment as a steward or marshal to ensure spectator safety or crowd control at events.
